Here are couple of recipes which are simple and quick and pretty much for show. They are great for larger dinner parties, when you want to step out of the culinary shadow or prove your mama you can cook. Whatever reason may be these recipes will make you a star of the evening.

Gooey cheesy bread



  • bread, oval type, wheat flour
  • handful of spring onions
  • handful of seeds
  • 100 g of butter
  • 1 mozzarella (125 g)
  • 100 g of gauda, cheddar etc


  • cut the bread lengthwise and sideways so you get little cubes (but don’t cut all the way, just score 3 quarters of the bread)
  • heat up the butter and chopped spring onions and fry for couple of minutes
  • dice the gauda and stuff in all the spaces between the bread dice, then stuff with mozzarella
  • drizzle with melted butter and spring onions and then sprinkle with seeds
  • wrap the bread in aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes at 180 Celsius degrees
  • then remove the foil from the upper part of the bread and bake for 15 more minutes
  • serve on a wooden cutting board

Italian antipastiIMG_20160523_165835 Ingredients:

  • mozzarella
  • tomato
  • basil
  • black olives
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • chili  flakes


  • tear the mozzarella to same shaped pieces
  • chop up a handful of olives and put on top
  • cut the tomato and add with olives
  • salt to taste and drizzle with olive oil
  • garnish with tiny basil leaves and chili flakes

Banoffe pie



  • pre made pie shell
  • 4 tablespoons of sugar
  • 4 bananas
  • 100 ml of milk
  • 200 ml of whipped double cream
  • one chocolate


  • blend two bananas with 100 ml of milk
  • heat up 4 tablespoons of sugar until it melts and then add banana and milk shake
  • cook for 3 – 5 minutes with constant stirring until it becomes golden brown
  • pour into the pie shell and leave for 20 minutes until it cools and tightens up
  • slice the two bananas diagonally and put on top
  • finish with whipped cream and shaved chocolate pieces
