Quick warning, this post is very graphic ^^ not that way, you kinky freak, I mean it has a lot of photos and it’s very colorful. Well as the world knows I have finally finished one of my thesis (miracles DO happen) and therefore decided to treat myself with a nice trip to London!
Smashing baby, yeah. Since millions of people have written about London, its sights, history, culture etc. I decided to write my travelogue through my foodie glasses. In advance, it was delicious and wonderful, worth of every bite I’ve taken.
Welcome to my station, located in Kensington. Perfect position, only couple of subway stations from everything. Beautiful neighborhood, feels like you’re on a movie set.
They even have Tardis there. 🙂
Now let’s talk food. Practically right across our flat we found this beautiful little Italian pizza place. Since it was our first day, we didn’t have clue about where to go or what to eat first. This pizza place was a jackpot, called Franco Manca.
They make their pizzas from sourdough with mozzarella, amazing tomato sauce and beautiful basil and bake them in custom made pizza ovens. Check it out (mine was with chorizo).
And if you order lemonade…
… you get it in this cool bottle. Reminded me of my childhood.
Rest of the day passed in regular sight seeing:
Mr. Ben and all the extras. 🙂
Second day was business only (not for me though) so I haven’t seen a lot, but I’ve sure eaten (and drank) a lot. 😀
Like this precious chai latte.
Aaand visited a Vietnamese restaurant.
Day three was moving around the city center. It was visiting pretty much everything a regular everyday normal tourist would visit:
Trafalgar square and national gallery
Where this wonderful man was giving away free rings and made me a custom one. ^^
And of course SOHO
where in a place called Princi Pizza I had one of the best cake experience of my life!
White chocolate and pistachio
and chocolate pralines
duck gazing in Chinatown,
and a childhood fantasy in M&M’s.
To be continued,
